What we collect and why
We collect your name, contact details, requested and agreed stay dates, number of guests, messages you choose to send us, price, payment status and booking correspondence. We use this information to respond to enquiries, arrange your stay, take payment, send arrival information and deal with questions or problems. This is necessary to take steps towards and perform your booking contract.
We keep payment and accounting records where we have a legal obligation to do so. We do not use Lodge enquiry details to add you to a marketing list.
Who receives the information
Sue and Kev, as hosts, and the Fountain team see the details needed to arrange your stay. Our hosting and email providers process the information to run the booking service and deliver messages. Stripe processes online card payments and provides us with a payment status and transaction reference. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe's privacy notice explains its own handling of payment information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to manage the stay, answer queries and deal with any claims. We keep financial records for the period required by law. We review and securely remove information when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct your information, and may have rights to deletion, restriction, objection or a copy of your information. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
